CEBU, Philippines — July this year was a milestone month for mother and daughter Angela and Mara Dado. It was the month when the duo launched their Disegno Dado label, a new pre-order line.

During the fashion presentation dubbed “Soleil,” held at The Gallery of the Ayala Center Cebu on July 7, pieces that hinted of the laid-back vibe of resort chic themes were presented. The styles were great for everyday wear, although these would also pass for dressy gatherings, celebrations and events.

Overall, the new line’s styles are underscored by colors and shades of the sun, from dusk to dawn, metaphorically speaking of the line’s versatility in combining form and function. Effectively, the collection extends the Disegno Dado label’s established standing as a bridalwear brand – to now include ensembles for corporate and events-and-happenings wear.

Both graduates of the Fashion Institute of Design and Arts Cebu, Angela and Mara Dado have been at the helm of the Disegno Dado label for six years running. The label has been a significant player in the metro’s tailored-to-fit circle.

“Soleil,” apart from highlighting shades of the sun, also served as the fourth run of the Threadcycle fashion advocacy campaign, to benefit the programs and initiatives of the Hero Foundation.
