Governor Gwen’s Oathtaking Ceremony

On the day Governor Gwendolyn Fiel Garcia took her oath before Court of Appeals Executive Justice Edgardo delos Santos, her day started with a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Msgr. Roberto “Boy” Alesna at the Sta. Maria Grand Ballroom of Radisson Blu Cebu. Hundreds of people attended the oathtaking ceremony… members of her family, close friends and relatives, mayors, vice-mayors, and councilors from the different towns of the Province of Cebu.

After the oathtaking rites, Governor Gwen`s daughter, Mayor of Liloan Christina Garcia Frasco, spoke on behalf of the family… how she adored her Mom… the first woman governor of Cebu who has again risen to her fourth term as governor of Cebu. She spoke highly of her Mom as hardworking; lauded her for all she has done for Cebu, and love her through thick and thin. After all the hard work and everything Gov. Gwen has gone through during the campaign, she finally made it.

Governor Gwen then had a short speech and mostly thanked all her supporters who gave her the overwhelming victory. PTL!
