The summer-ready LOTUS

CEBU, Philippines — Vivid explosions of color, Moroccan mosaic patterns and argyles etched over Aztec-themed prints were among the alluring design elements of a brand launch in Cebu last Thursday, March 21.

Dubbed “LOTUS by Rustan’s” and unveiled at the second level of Rustan’s Ayala Center Cebu, the new fast-fashion marquee by the country’s premiere retailer draws inspiration from summer’s laid back settings – primed as a brand that contextualizes the ocean, sun and sky as relaxed ensembles for summer outings and excursions.

Designed by Pia Regala-Hebron, the designer behind Rustan’s “Lady Rustan” private label, LOTUS’ inaugural Spring/Summer 2019 collection blends normcore styles with elements of bohemian fashion – incorporating sweet details to elemental cuts and sheens.

Underscored by cool, casual and candid tones, the collection renders a zesty tactility to beach kaftans, flowy chiffons and airy sarongs – extending this take on relaxed styles to a selection of accessories like beach hats, handbags, shoes and more.

Unveiled in time for summer, the brand’s inaugural fashion presentation speaks of what it stands for – a brand that’s all about exiting outings, adventures and fun under the sun.
