A Cut Above the Rest

CEBU, Philippines — On January 18, the winners of the Binibining Cebu 2018 pageant walked down the runway at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu. The beauties wore Sinulog-themed outfits designed by designers affiliated with the Fashion Institute of Design and Arts (FIDA) Cebu.

Sharing the spotlight with the Binibining Cebu 2018 winners were other pageant title holders who have made waves in the pageant circuit, as well as local personalities that have excelled in their respective lines of endeavor – local social media influencers, health-and-wellness advocates, artists, athletes etc., all belonging to the upper rung of the success ladder.

The event was this year’s “Cut & Style” fashion show by Island Souvenirs, which has been staging it for years already during the Sinulog celebrations.

Except for the Binibining Cebu 2018 beauties, the featured personalities all wore cut-and- styled ensembles which they themselves had made in time for the Sinulog Grand Parade on Sunday, January 20.

Indeed, the annual “Cut & Style” event is increasingly becoming a force that guides the fashion compass of the Sinulog festival. It is now a highly anticipated show during the city’s fiesta celebration.
