How to Have a Merry Christmas
Hey, buddy! Have you thought of how you can make you’re the holidays extra special? There are actually lots of things you can do!
First, have you looked inside your toy box? Pick out those toys that you have not played with for months. Other children would love to have them. As long as they are not broken, you can give them away!
Second, start wrapping some presents as early as now. They don’t have to be expensive. They could just be anything you made yourself like a collage or a picture frame. The effort you put in making these items will give it plus points in the heart of the recipient.
Third, volunteer to put up your Christmas tree. Don’t have one? You can make your own! Ask an adult to bring your favorite potted plant inside the house and decorate it with Christmas balls. You may also place your wrapped gifts under it.
Fourth, prepare a list of good memories that you have with each family member. Write down how they made you feel and how thankful you are. Read this to them when you are all gathered together on Christmas Eve.
Fifth, start practicing those Christmas Carols that you can sing together with your family. Before everyone starts opening their presents, ask them to sing along with you while you pass around gifts for them.
Remember that Christmas is the best time of the year to make everyone around you happy. You don’t need material things to do that. A simple act of kindness can make any ordinary day special, much more during the holidays.
