Medy Kai, wife of Japanese businessman Mr. Kai Tomoyuki, opted to celebrate her birthday in Cebu. A true-blue Cebuana, she frequently visits dear old Cebu especially bonding with her family.
At the Pig & Palm where the exclusive dinner bash was held, Mariquita Yeung offered to serve the special Beef Dishes for the birthday girl, the 21-day dry-aged Prime Beef Wellington using meat from Suffolk, England. Head Chef Karl Emsen paired this traditional Birtish dish with creamy truffle smashed potatoes and honey glazed carrots. It was a “marvelous dish,” not to mention the finest of wines from Carlos Yeung`s collection. Immediately after dinner, the MSY Club ladies presented Medy with a magnificently-baked birthday cake, a fondant cake with a Chanel design top. The next day, the couple left for Misamis to visit Medy`s relatives, thence back to Japan.
