Stepping into the 90s

CEBU, Philippines - The iconic markers of the 90s highlight this year’s “Make Your Own Havaianas” (MYOH), which kicked of last Friday, June 9, at the Ayala Center Cebu, the first of the event’s two Cebu legs.

“Bring Back the 90s” is this year’s theme of the annual flip-flop customization event, which is top-billed by a LED color bar commemorative top. The event also includes a selection of 90s-inspired pins depicting vintage cassette tapes, boom box players, CRT televisions, video game icons and more.

MYOH 2017 features something new, as havaianaticos have the option to have custom pins made on-the-spot through 3D printing technology. Its retro-themed highlights also include the option to match the MYOH 2017 commemorative top with a glow-in-the-dark strap.

Ongoing until tomorrow, June 12, at the All Flip Flops store in Ayala Center Cebu, the second Cebu leg of MYOH 2017 will take place at the All Flip Flops Store in SM Seaside City from June 15 to 18. (YRST)
