CEBU, Philippines - Artists, gamers, cosplayers, exhibitors, collectors and trading-card-game players came together for the ARCHcon 2016 on October 29 and 30, at the Robinson’s Galleria Cebu.
ARCHCon stands for Animation, Role-playing, Comics and Hobbies Convention. It has been 12 years ever since ARCHcon was formed as an event to provide a venue for people’s penchant for “Japanimation”. It has increasingly evolved through the years, now already drawing in other art enthusiasts from neighboring regions and from Manila.
The collectible toys and hobby-related items presented during the event have fired the interest of many Cebuanos in the new ‘art form’, as shown in the increasing attendance at the past several events.
The annual event includes hobbies display, tournaments, cosplay, computer gaming, digital drawing contest and many more. The proceeds of the ARCHcon go to the Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu Mission/Christmas Drive. (FREEMAN)
