Everybody is free to dream. And everybody, perhaps, dreams of owning and building their beach house. By the beach of course... or at least on a spot above sea level from where the sea is visible - be it on a mountain slope or treetop. How idyllic!
Excuse me, even this subject is not exempted from feng shui rules! And there is one most important rule for building a beach house.
Just like any residential property, a beach house feng shui requires the following considerations:
1. Location of lot
2. Terrain of lot
3. Topography of lot
4. Soil quality of lot
5. Surrounding neighborhood elements
6. Shape of lot
7. Owner's personal feng shui input
8. House kitchen layout
9. House bedroom layout, the most love life sensitive for spouses
10. Location and orientation of the main door. No water to the right of the main door as one goes out of the house.
Those may seem all plain and simple but most often ignored due to the penchant of people to have a full view of the beach or shoreline. How romantic! That is why most beach houses are actually designed for lovers, including couples not yet married or those in illicit affairs!
Water to the right of the main door jamb as you exit, as mentioned, augurs illicit romantic affairs... for man or woman, even for gay. So as not to spoil the day of those with already existing beach houses... here is the remedy - architecturally the door must have all water to its left side as you exit.
But feng shui wise, it should also be catering to the orientation of the owner's feng shui lucky direction. Yes, these two factors can be fused well by a good geomancer. Only such infusion will make a beach house a home. As oft-quoted in feng shui, a house is built with walls and beams while a home is built with love and dreams - beach house inclusive.
There are no exemptions, unless you want a different romantic conclusion. What is the ending? Happy or not, the ending will surely be in terms of the finance not the romance that makes any non-feng-shuied beach house attractive! Get it?
