CEBU, Philippines - Cebu's homegrown beauty queens, Steffi Pearson Aberasturi and Gazini Christiana Jordi Ewamer are the newest endorsers of a brand of beauty products that are proudly Cebu-made. The beauty line is KEVLO, consisting of products for every part of the body - from facial care kits, whitening lotions, whitening soaps, toners, underarm whiteners and fragrances.

Back in 2007, when the business started, the very first product was a facial kit that could help achieve a radiant and beautifully glowing skin - with a price that was easy on the pocket. To show customers that the product was truly effective, a seven-day money-back guarantee was offered. 

But the story actually began long before KEVLO came to be a beauty brand. One of the partners behind the brand, Mark Geniston, worked as an OFW for nine years, before deciding to return home for good. He thought of starting a business. At first, he and his wife Willibeth wanted put up a bar and name it KEVLO, after their children Kevin and Lovely.

Things took a different turn, however. During a conference Mark was attending in Manila, he met a chemical engineer who broached to him the business idea of making people beautiful in the most affordable way. They soon became business partners in the production of skin care products.
