CEBU, Philippines - One of the world's fastest-growing fashion brands - Uniqlo - recently unveiled in Cebu a curated selection of pieces from its 2015 Fall/Winter collection.

Held on August 20 at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu, Uniqlo came to town to formally announce the upcoming opening of its first store in the Visayas in October - the first in the country to open outside of Metro Manila.

Famed for implementing innovative technologies in the making of denim jeans, yoga pants, collared and button-down shirts, comfy sweaters, lounge shorts and more, the brand opened its first store in Japan in 1984, under the name "Unique Clothing Warehouse."

With a wide selection of casualwear tops and bottoms for men, women and kids, the brand's innovative utilization of fabrics (like its "Miracle Air Technology" lightweight denim jeans and "Kaihara" denim, among others) has propelled it into becoming one of the most recognized fast-fashion brands in the world today.

With two Uniqlo stores scheduled to open  in Cebu within the year, the fashion presentation that took place at the Northwing was a fitting sneak peak of what Cebuanos can expect from the internationally famed brand. (FREEMAN)
