Prosperous Year of the Wood Sheep Celebration

Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino's first media gathering and the welcoming of the prosperous New Year of the Wood Sheep, on February 19, had media guests and bloggers for a lunch celebration filled with a delectable spread prepared by Chef Stephen Del-Amen and his culinary team.

Sales and Marketing Manager Ms. Shelly Arciaga-Ding with her Marketing Communications Officer Ms. Hanski Garcia accommodated the media guests on their respective seats in Café Uno for lunch; the media guests and bloggers' sight was welcomed by two white sheep carved to perfection by the hotel's Pastry Chef's team. As the rest of the other invitees came and joined in, the Dragon and Lion Dance performance commenced in the restaurant and also in the Lobby. Both media and in-house guests were delighted and took shots to immortalize the moment and even touched the Lion and Dragon whenever they have the chance, for luck after the ritualistic performance where the Lion ate the Chinese cabbage and took the ang paos surrounding the hotel's outlets and office doors.

Along with Ms. Shelly, Hanski, in her very profound conversation with the media, representing her hotel manager Mr. Benhur Caballes who wasn't able to join the occasion for a very important matter to attend, stated the developments of the hotel from last year - the continuous upgrading of the hotel areas, maintaining the classic elegance of the hotel, starting from the carpets of the guest rooms and at the start of 2015 is at the Lobby in its very warm and bright colored design.

The start of the year of Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino-Mactan had been a great one, maintaining a wonderful experience for their guests. Within the year, the same group will be invited once again for the preview of the ongoing developments of the two new guest rooms - thus, making 164 rooms into 166 rooms.

Meanwhile, on the same evening where everybody was celebrating Chinese New Year, a true-blue Chinese, Hongkong-born businessman Carlos Yeung, despite the absence of dear wife Dame Mariquita, who at the time was in London with daughter Carla and grandsons, left no stone unturned to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year. An all Chinese cuisine was prepared by their Chef with the supervision of sis-in-law Fely Salimbangon (also from Hongkong), and non-stop sparkling wines were served to all the guests.
