The New GM of Cebu City’s Finest

CEBU, Philippines – A long serving executive who has been with the hotel since its opening nine years ago is the new general manager of Cebu City's finest, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. Julie Najar boasts over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, which has equipped her to take on her new responsibilities. She started in Marco Polo Plaza in 2005 as a front office manager and became human resource manager after two years. In 2009 she became the resident manager, and subsequently, in 2013, the hotel manager.

Ms Najar graduated with a Hotel and Restaurant Management degree at St. Paul College, in Quezon City. She also went to Cornell University New York and Nanyang Singapore for further training in other fields of hospitality. Her experience and expertise ensure that Marco Polo Plaza Cebu will continue its brand of excellence under her management.

A diverse leader, Ms Najar also has an active involvement with organizations, being the president of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Cebu and being assistant secretary to the forthcoming Tourism Congress.
