Tree Feng Shui

NONON-SENSE FENGSHUI - Aldric Dalumpines - The Freeman

Yes there is such a thing as a lucky tree in feng shui or lucky trees for that matter!

In the advent of green living that's a trend nowadays, all the more it is important to learn about the tree feng shui.

To cut a long story short, here are eight fruitful lucky tree feng shui tips to observe:

1. Never have a tree facing main entrance doors of houses or office buildings and warehouses as they block the flow of goodlife energies or chi.

2. Never plant or have thorny trees like certain breeds of citrus or pomelo trees among others as they pierce and dissipate the good flow of chi in your environ.

3. Never plant trees whose roots or branches can affect or even destroy not only roof eaves of a house or building but even destabilize foundations and contaminate water cisterns or sources. Popular trees along these types are rubber tree, fichus species or balete tree, fire tree, even mango trees as they are prone to get uprooted in strong typhoons and even get infested by termites.

4. Never plant climbable trees near house balcony, veranda or any potential entrance and exit areas within the surrounding of a house or building as they serve as easy access for robbers.

5. Never plant similar easy-to-climb trees beside perimeter fences for the same security reasons.

6. The best directional areas to plant shady trees is where they serve as shields against afternoon and even morning sun and from the tropical heat: west, east, southeast, south, southwest of the surrounding easement garden of a house or building.

7. The best tree, though it's actually a grass species, is the non-thorny decorative pole bamboo, whether planted on the ground, in large decorative pots; they always project the image of springtime with zest. Bamboos signify good health and more profits, too. If birds or even bees or bats roost on them or on any other tree, it brings auspicious blessings to occupants. Bees bring good fortunes, birds happiness with new family members (or fertility), and bats everlasting joy!

8. Never believe superstitions about trees like never plant papaya trees or those with fruits having black seeds; it's a myth). Same with jackfruit and local kamias, too;     they are good to plant.

Overall, trees are ionizers as they produce oxygen and absorb toxic carbon dioxide and pollutants from the environment.

There is no good feng shui as lovely as a cherished planted tree, either fruit bearing or not!

Indeed even in harnessing luck in feng shui, trees are a good company to keep! Happy tree planting everyone!
