Radisson hosts cocktails for OPS team
Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu, on June 6, welcomed the 49 volunteers of Operation Smile International to a cocktail reception at the hotel's lobby.
On hand to welcome the team was GM Nishan Silva on behalf of the hotel and Dame Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung, Chairman of Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MSTCFI), the sponsoring foundation for the last 16 years. Also present was Mayor Michael Rama.
Operation Smile is a world-wide organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children with cleft lips, cleft palate and other facial deformities, through free reconstructive surgery. OPS was held simultaneously from June 6 to 14 in Bacolod, Cavite, Davao, Pampanga, Samar and Cebu.
On June 8, Radisson Blu Hotel volunteer employees supported the Operation Smile Cebu Mission as part of its corporate social responsibility to give back to the community. More than 50 doctors, dentists, nurses, and others came together and brought hope and transformation for the children, the family and the community. Taking only 45 minutes, a single surgery can change a child's life forever. This year, OPS Cebu Mission was targeting to give the gift of smile to some 200 children and adults.
By the way, all the volunteers from Manila and abroad were billeted at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu, all courtesy of the generous hotel.
