Celebrated Wines by Grant Burge

CEBU, Philippines - An evening of sumptuous cuisine and refined liquor by wine connoisseur Grant Burge awaits guests at Shangri-La's Mactan Resort & Spa's Acqua on Thursday, May 29.

Guests are welcomed with canapés and hors d'oeuvres served in ten culinary stations in cocktails at 6:30 p.m. Dinner follows at 7 p.m. The highlight of the evening is the presentation of the elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Frontignac and Shiraz blends by Grant Burge.

Grant Burge hails from a family with a rich history in winemaking. "I am a romantic and I have a real sense of my family history, of my father and grandfather, and what they achieved," he says of his family, who's best known for making consistently smooth, full-flavored wines from extensive vineyard holdings. He is a fifth-generation Barossa vigneron and winemaker.  His winery in Barossa Valley has won every major medal and trophy in Australia.

Mr. Burge is the chief winemaker of Grant Burge Wines Pty Ltd. and is one of the most respected and innovative forces in the Australian wine industry.
