Do you believe in ghosts? Ghost and paranormal stories abound as realities to live with, globally. Yes, they are found across cultures, from primitive to highly industrialized nations!
The Philippines is quite a melting pot of paranormal realities. From early initiation to "aswang" (witch) tales to horror stories of "santermo" (St. Elmo's fire) or the "manananggal" (half-bodied flying vampires) - name it, we've got it all, including "nuno sa punso" (dwarves), "kapre" (giant ghosts) and "mantio" (elemental ghouls)! It's really more fun in the Philippines when it comes to such stories!
Many clients often ask if their ghastly experiences of such in city homes, condos, and provincial ancestral or vacation farm houses can be cleared of such through feng shui! Why not? After all, ghosts or spirits or elementals bespeak of bad energies or plain bad feng shui energy fields!
Although, generally, under Chinese folk traditions, it's the belief in the existence of hungry ghosts. These are the persistent earthbound spirits of the dead who have not moved on from their human death, and continue to haunt their past dwellings and work spaces on earth; even becoming poltergeists disturbing the peace and harmony of loved ones or strangers! Though they come in varied manifestations and denominations as elementals or evil spirits, even good ones, they all are generically considered hungry ghosts. That's why every seventh month in the Chinese calendar they have a hungry ghost month and festival to pay respects and make peace with it.
As I write this, a client just texted if I have handled feng shui for such cases in a condo, as his wife is worried about the unit their family is renting out. Just recently a renter left, claiming to have sighted ghosts. The first two renters had left for the exactly the same reason. These three families didn't know each other.
I texted back that, yes, it can be remedied. How? Here goes feng shui ghostbusting cures for you to note and use just in case!
First, if you are just leasing the haunted place, there's not other way but to sacrifice the place. Just leave it, and transfer to a well feng shuied home or office. I had a client once who never believed in feng shui, yet she suddenly became a client when upon moving to a condo at the Fort in Global City, Taguig, horrible events happened on the very day of their transfer. She freaked out. She consulted master, who went to check the unit. That erstwhile was a windless floor and unit turned into a tornado-like setting; with all the makings of a horror movie. The quick feng shui recommendation was for them to leave at any cost. They needed to sacrifice their rental deposit in exchange for peace of mind and normalcy.
Always remember that, in feng shui, suffering in life is optional. So why suffer? You have a human choice. And a human will! If you own the place, don't get married to it, sell it. Second, beware of engaging "espiritistas" (local shamans) lest you'll be had! It is not unusual today such personalities hide behind the veneer as real estate brokers offering to sell or rent out your place whilst offering you a new place to buy or rent. Of course for the money! Third, you may try the age old folkloric beliefs be it of religious faith or pagan rituals: putting blessed St. Benedict crucifix or medals atop doorways, using feng shui wall mirror cures (putting an accent wall mirror where manifestations occur), and usually the most effective remedy amongst feng shui believers: take care of a live pet turtle!
The protective value of the turtle is the reason why in most Asian cultures (as in Korea, Taiwan, even Japan). green sea turtles or "pawikan" are poached. These are stuffed and placed in living rooms as a protective amulet for the home.
Rarely but possibly, you can even get rid of ghosts and other such mischievous spirits through financial technicalities or engineering! Take this true to life experience of mine: A couple that I feng shuied became quickly rich - as in 30 million pesos richer - in two weeks! Suddenly a ghost of an old woman appears on their master bedroom quarreling with the wife and threatening that if they didn't leave the house their two kids would always get sick, which in fact was already happening for the past week!
Upon engaging a local shaman, this was affirmed. The husband asked master if the ghost could be bribe - for any amount! Master laughed and told them we discuss in secret later. "No corruption of ghosts, please!" Later, in a restaurant, here was the advice I gave them which they obediently followed and from which they lived happily ever after: Financially engineer your feng shui... borrow against this house to build your dream house in another, faraway lot! Talk to your bank manager about this plan, co-opt with her to eventually foreclose the property!
Eventually, it happened as master said it would and the ghost problem was relegated to the foreclosed asset division of the bank! If you want to try other cures, try painting the affected place with bright lively colors, and always play innocent and happy child music, or loud pop happy tunes! Elementals and ghosts are said to hate sounds like these that they are likely to evacuate! In short, convert you place to one of happiness and love, like Disneyland!
Happy Ghostbusting everyone!
