CEBU, Philippines - Several members of the media from the Visayas and Mindanao came aboard for the inaugural flight of Cebu Pacific Airbus 330 from Cebu to Manila on February 25. It was a smooth ride as the plane went up to 33,000 feet, where the air was more stable. None of the bumps and jerks common at lower altitudes.
The plane is spacious, with enough room to allow for easy movement aboard, for snack trolleys, towed luggage and people. Passengers with e-documents to send will find the wi-fi internet connection aboard very helpful.
The France-made Airbus with Roll-Royce Trent 772B engines "not only increases the number of seats available to Cebu and Davao [passengers to and from Manila], but also features fuel-saving technology that allows us to keep our fares low," a company official prides. (FREEMAN)
