CEBU, Philippines - The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) sets the first Water Challenge Forum on March 6 from 9am to 5pm at the Cebu Grand Ballroom of Marco Polo Plaza Hotel.
With the theme “Promoting Water Initiatives for a Sustainable Economyâ€, the event will highlight industry challenges in water resource management.
Key personalities from international and local companies implementing water management programs are resource persons of the event.
Expected participants are professionals and leaders from the business sector, local government units, academe, civil society and organizations supporting the practice and application of water efficiency programs.
The forum aims to promote better understanding of the importance of water to the environment and its effect to the economic future of the country. It also intends to increase awareness of the water situation and address challenges by engaging the public and private sectors in active cooperation to promote better water stewardship through technologies, techniques, practices and policies geared towards a wider water access and greater water efficiency.
The event will also showcase the latest water technologies and solutions that address the problems encountered by the water sector. Private and pioneering companies featuring water technologies and services namely Grundfos Pumps Philippines, Apex Plastic Piping Supply and Services, Emerald Vinyl Corporation and Ebara Pumps will demonstrate their technologies.
The Water Challenge Forum is also open to parties interested to learn more about existing water initiatives, understand investment opportunities in the water sector, and explore the latest smart water technologies and solutions.
The event is organized by ECCP, a bilateral foreign chamber that promotes European interests in the Philippines as well as the Philippine interests in Europe. (FREEMAN)
