The Glaze from West to East
CEBU, Philippines - One of the interesting things in cuisine is to collaborate. Cuisine is an expression of each civilization, each community's unique creative urges. As such, each cuisine is distinctive.
The Golden Prince Hotel & Suites Cebu recently had its soft opening on their eat-all-you-can buffet offering dubbed as "The Prince's Feast: A Fusion from West to East." Not only do they offer Asian food, they also add a little bit of European culinary touches and a lot of good combinations.
Aaron J. Que, Marketing Specialist of Golden Prince Hotel, disclosed that a lot of their guests are ordering ala carte items and spending more. So they decided to create the buffet, a value for money deal. Aside from saving a few hundred pesos, you also get a lot of variety.
Speaking of the menu, the buffet offerings at the Prince's Feast are the favorite ala carte dishes, the all-time crowd's favorite, from main course down to desserts. Their chef's specialty is also varied as they have a chef that specializes in European food, another in Chinese and still another in Filipino dishes.
Their menu focuses on Crispy Pata, Beef Salpicao, Pochero sa Cebu, Aglio Olio – a pasta dish, Spanakopita – an oven-baked Greek dish of spinach with cheese wrapped in phyllo pastry and the Filipino dessert favorite – Halo-halo.
Aside from all that, Golden Prince Hotel and Suites specializes in customized cooking. "Even if it is not in our menu, we do a preferred product like the baked oyster," Aaron added. They can also cook Turkish food and kebabs, according to what the customers want.
"They can see the entire world's cuisine in one plate," Aaron explained as to how they want to be perceived by their guests. It is a fusion from east to west that is interpreted in a variety of food – Chinese, Italian and Filipino. They also have a carving station, a pasta station and the halo-halo station.
Prince's Feast: Fusion from West to East will happen every Friday from 6pm - 10pm.
