MCCI’s Mandaue Biz Month Launch
CEBU, Philippines - It’s spring time at the Cebu International Convention Center when the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) launched the Mandaue Business Month last July 12 at the Cebu International Convention Center. The lobby of the CICC was transformed by MBM Co-Chair Marylou Ngo-Ang into a garden full of cherry trees.
The Mandaue Business Month will be celebrated this coming August 2013 with the theme “ENGAGING CHANGE: Be fit. Be connected. Be ahead,†symbolized by MBM’s logo of the phoenix…a mythical bird that goes through a never-ending cycle of life and death and rebirth.
The launching was graced by Governor Hilario Davide III who was the Guest Speaker, Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes who was also the inducting officer of the newly elected Board of Trustees and Officers of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by re-elected President Mr. Philip Tan. Other guests included the Mandaue City Council, Cebu Provincial Board, DTI Provincial Director Nelia Navarro, MCCI members, MBM Sponsors and Media friends. MBM 2013 is chaired by Ms. Girlie Garces.
MCCI have lined up innovative and creative activities to enliven the month-long celebration as it partners with the Provincial Government of Cebu and with the Mandaue City Government. The Grand Opening Salvo is slated on August 8 where there will be a motorcade of MCCI members companies around Mandaue City and will culminate with entertainment at the Mandaue Bridge Park. The MCCI Business Summit will also be held at CICC on August 16, Trees Brew Life and the Anti Dengue Day on August 17, The Search for W.I.N.N.E.R.s (Women In Need Now Entrepreneurs and Role Models) Season 3 on August 20 at the Mandaue City Sports Complex, SSS Pensioners Day on August 22, Surgical & Dental Mission on August 24, MCCI’s Best on August 29, Lose 2 Win Grand Finals on September 5 at the Insular Square. Other events include: Investor’s Forum, Business Seminars and MCCI Gala Night on September 6 at the New Oakridge Pavillion. (FREEMAN)
