Aicila Suites opens

It was a double celebration for Jigs and Alice Ty a couple of months ago when they gathered all their friends and relatives to celebrate with them during the formal opening of the couple’s new business venture, the Aicila Suites. Aicila Suites is named after Alice’s real name Alicia spelled backwards.

Such a special day, indeed, since Alice was also celebrating her birthday that day.

Alicia is located at the corner of Gov. Cuenco Avenue and M.L. Quezon Streets in Nasipit, Talamban (commonly known as Corner Cabangcalan Road). With personalized service at its best, Aicila Suites offers four suite rooms, fourteen deluxe rooms, eight standard rooms and two dormitory-type rooms, all airconditioned. The hotel’s amenities include: complimentary breakfast,  free WIFI Internet access, 24-hour security, standby generator, secured car park, hot and cold shower, cable tv, 20-200 pax function rooms, elevator, 24-7 7-Eleven Convenience store  & Premium Park n’ Go Bakeshop  both at the ground floor, Balkon Restobar and exclusive family KTV rooms. Aicila Suites also offers different reasonable packages for educational tours, weddings, birthday parties and other special occasions.

The formal opening activities started with the blessing of the premises followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremonies done by the night’s guests of honor headed by Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama with talent manager and actress, Annabelle Rama and veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez. A sumptuous feast was served at the hotel’s 5th floor function room with no less than 300 guests in attendance. 

A live band provided danceable tunes from the 1980s ‘til the present, definitely adding to the fun and happy mood that night. Comedy actress Joy Viado came in as a surprise and rendered  some familiar and favorite tunes coupled with her wacky green jokes in between making every guest laugh to the fullest ‘til the wee hours of the night. Since it was Alice’s special day, the “men” in her life composed of her ever-loving hubby Jigs and sons Judel, Kevin and Kendell, never let the night pass by without rendering some of Alice’s favorite songs, to everyone’s awe. 

To Jigs and Alice, congratulations to your new business venture amd more power to you both! To Aicila Suites, your emergence is definitely a welcome development in the city’s local hotel industry!  To Alice, may you have many more birthdays and blessings to come! Cheers and God bless!
