CEBU, Philippines - Time and again no doubt you have been told that if you want to accomplish great things in business and industry,  to be of service to your community,  to succeed in a professional field, you must know how to work with  other people.

A few years ago,  Jan Mckingley Hilado  then a sophomore in college, and  Johnnin Hanz Florentino,  a fresh  magna cum laude graduate, were set to conquer the corporate world. Several obstacles got in their way of moving forward and pursuing their goals. They were angry and frustrated about the situation they were in; angry at  failed relationships, the state of their spirituality which seemed empty , and angry at the direction their  lives were taking. Frustration and disappointment set in and Jan dropped out of school and Hanz quit his job.  

After their life changing decisions, Jan, the dreamer that he was, likened himself to Tony Stark, the genius millionaire philanthropist in Iron Man while Hanz successfully carved himself a niche in creative marketing consultancy. They later joined forces in establishing two fast growing companies, The Business Incubators, Inc. and AdthatWorks. Then, they founded the Radical Millionaires, a top success support system for entrepreneurs, leaders and creative individuals.  

They recently wrote a  self development book entitled “ Rich, Real, Radical: 40 Lessons from a Magna Cum Laude and a College Drop Out” which features a collection of varied experiences and insights on their journey to success in all areas of life.

Packed with lessons from goal setting, to abundant mindset and even relationships and health, the book gives the reader a  glimpse into the authors  past and how they worked their way to success and personal fulfillment. It aims to inspire people  to  take massive action in the pursuit of one’s dreams.

The initial inspiration behind this book stemmed from the idea to probe if not question conventional formal education. While knowledge may be acquired in school, true wisdom and understanding  only  comes from its application outside the academic ground. They have learned to believe in self-education and self-development and discovered that real change starts from within.

However one defines success, it is a fact that those who experience more of what they desire in life seem to be people who do not back away from problems, growth or difficult tasks. Moreover, if we observe the behavior of those people we think are successful, creative, materially and professionally fulfilled, we see that they do things willingly that others only talk about doing  but avoid.
