Farewell parties for OPS volunteers

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO - The Freeman

To bade farewell to the Operation Smile Volunteers, Governor Gwen Garcia hosted a dinner-musical at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall.

Actually, the governor was only present in spirit since she was out of town for another engagement, but her daughter, Atty. Cristina Frasco represented her during the farewell party, as well as Board Member Sergio Restauro.

During dinner, there were entertainment numbers presented by the various sectors of the province like the Torta Festival  of Argao; Liloan's Rosquillos, Carcar's Kabkaban and Mandaue's Mantawi. The costumes of the dancers were fantastic that the volunteers were quite impressed.

Before the volunteers finally left for the US, MSYCFI Chair Dame Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung played host to a dinner cum dancing at her home in Nivel Hills. The volunteers enjoyed every minute of the affair especially since there was dancing, with the Renaissance Band providing the danceable music, plus the overflowing of wines. For sure, the guys and dolls had fun!
