Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino

CEBU, Philippines -  Ushering the start of the holiday season, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino celebrated the lighting of its 20-foot tall Christmas Tree last November 29, heralding a new landmark that radiates the Christmas Season's joyous atmosphere to guests and visitors.

Gracing the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies were Ma. Theresa Fernandez, general manager of Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino, and Alfred Portenschlager, general manager of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. Guests and spectators to the occasion were entertained by the Marigondon Chamber String Orchestra, playing a variety of popular standards and a diverse range of Christmas songs.

As with previous Christmas Tree lighting ceremonies in Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino, this year's highlights included a Children's Christmas Costume Contest, one that is based on a "Christmas Icons" theme.

With a total of 14 participants, Joross Samson's Candy Cane costume and Kate Nicole Cudera's Reindeer costume impressed the contest's panel of judges, which included representatives from different daily publications based in Cebu.

Apart from the new Christmas Tree landmark located at the hotel's lobby, a full-sized Gingerbread House stands out as a unique attraction to be found in Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino this month, one that is truly made entirely out of gingerbread.

Maintaining the cool and relaxed interiors the hotel has been famous for, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino's "Christmas look" brings something truly memorable to its guests and visitors this holiday season.  (FREEMAN)
