CEBU, Philippines — Christine Escanilla was candid about her reason for choosing marketing management as her course: she wanted to achieve financial success.
“There was a time when I didn’t grow up in a privileged household, so I wanted to pursue something that could help me earn money,” shared the 21-year-old student, who is set to graduate this year.
“Seeing my dad start his own business inspired me. I told myself that I can achieve financial freedom even as a student.”
If crowned Miss Cebu 2025, Escanilla hopes to address environmental issues in the city.
“Cebu is such a beautiful place that we sometimes overlook the challenges it faces,” she said. “If we can focus on improving our environment and addressing its problems, Cebu City can become not just a safe place but a city everyone will love and feel secure in.”
