Vivamax’s hottest stars come together in series ‘Iskandalo’

CEBU, Philippines —  Five sexy female stars in one erotic whodunit series is Vivamax’s gift to its 3-million strong subscribers this summer, as the streamer continues its phenomenal growth with presence in 43 countries and the non-stop production of

new titles.

Cindy Miranda (Adan, House Tour, Reroute) and AJ Raval (Death of a Girlfriend, Taya, Hugas) headline the 10-episode series “Iskandalo”, already available on the entertainment platform, with a new episode dropping every Sunday.

“It’s a good story. Hindi mas marami yung hubaran dito. There’s going to be a rollercoaster of emotions,” said Cindy in anticipation of comments that Vivamax’s usual content is more skin than substance.

Directed by Roman Perez (Taya, House Tour, Hugas, Siklo), “Iskandalo” begins with the death of a popular influencer, played by AJ, who was recently involved in a viral sex scandal. Was it suicide? Foul play? Who killed her? Cindy’s detective, who’s out to avenge the death of her father-cop, is determined to solve the crime that will blow up to even more scandalous proportions as it will involve treachery among those in the corridors of power.

Cindy, who has long hoped for an action-oriented role, finally gets her wish in “Iskandalo”. She’s crossing her fingers for more hard-core action parts in the near future.

Adding more heat to the scandal are Ayanna Misola (Pornstar 2; Kinsenas, Katapusan), Angela Morena (X-Deal 2) and newcomer Andrea Garcia. Former FHM cover girl and Pinoy Big Brother housemate Jamilla Obispo will also unleash her own brand of sexiness.

“Watch the series before you judge as what we tackle here really happens in real life,” said Ayanna, who chose One Direction’s Harry Styles as the celebrity she won’t mind caught doing the deed with, similar to the central arc of a private sex video gone public in “Iskandalo.”

All the actresses agreed that they don’t see anything wrong with couples making sex videos – with a caveat of course.

“Couple naman sila, exclusive naman sila sa isa’t-isa. So why not? Sometimes it’s just for fun and to do something different in a repetitive relationship,” explained Cindy, whose fantasies involve Australian hunk Chris Hemsworth. “Pero sana alagaan nila ang cellphones nila.”

“If there’s mutual consent, why not?” said Angela. “That being said, they should be careful and be ready for the consequences.”

While Jamilla admits to experimenting with sex videos before as it adds flavor to a relationship, AJ said she’d rather err on the side of caution. More so that she’s already managed to be a magnet for controversy despite a still young career.

“I’m adventurous but I’ll say no for now because I’m afraid of having a sex scandal,” AJ quipped.

Asked how they feel about being tagged as Pantasya ng Vivamax, the girls all feel it is a compliment that not everyone is privileged to hear in their lifetimes.

“Sobrang swerte ko na matawag na isang pantasya kasi hindi lahat natatawag ng ganyan. Ibig sabihin, kaayaaya ka sa kanilang paningin. I don’t take it as a negative,” said Cindy.

Jamilla said the tag inspires her to take much better care of herself, while AJ delights at being appreciated which means “nagagawa namin ng maayos ang mga trabaho namin.”

Not letting negative comments get to her – the worst she said was that she brought shame to her family – AJ further shared that bashing actually emboldens her to go even sexier on screen and improve on her craft.

“I wasn’t affected, mas ginalingan ko na lang,” shared AJ. “Natutuwa sa akin yung family ko ngayon so parang nabasag yung comment ng isang hater.”

With the sensual image come the inevitable admirers, and they can be of the varied sort. There can be creeps and perverts, while there can also be the genuine few. What then, does it take, for a gentleman to get their attention?

“Sense of humor, sensible conversationalist…Yung hindi mo ako babastusin. I’m game with anything as long as you respect me,” was Angela’s reply.

For Jamilla, she needs to be intellectually stimulated. “Tell me something I don’t know,” she said. Blow my mind. I’m attracted to smarts, not necessarily, book-smart, but someone who’ll surprise me.”

AJ, for her part, said she notices quiet guys much more than those who show-boat.

As for Cindy, the beauty queen said she’d take honesty and ambition over looks any day.

“Hindi yung gwapo, yabang or porma. I also don’t understand it, but the way someone talks and they’re being honest, haharapin mo talaga because there’s something about that person. There’s so many pretentious people in the world,” she began.

“Ang hirap humanap ngayon ng disenteng lalaki na may trabaho, na gustong magtrabaho, na hindi tambay, na may pangarap. I know a lot who wake up in the morning and they do the same thing. I also have hardworking friends but they’re just a few. Marami akong kilala na sabay lang sa agos. Ito yung araw ko. Maghihintay lang ng milagro. I want someone who’s very determined.
