Ayanna Misola: Vivamax’s new nymphet

STAR CIRCUIT - Ricky L. Calderon - The Freeman

Not even in his wildest dreams did Joko Diaz ever imagine that at the age of 50, he will still get the chance to play plum roles and a leading man to the new crop of sexy stars being launched by Viva Entertainment via the popular streaming platform Vivamax.

At the Zoom conference of the upcoming Vivamax movie titled “Kinsenas, Katapusan”, Joko said he treats the sexy roles coming his way as part of the job of an actor. He is thankful to Viva’s top honcho Boss Vic del Rosario for giving him another chance at acting.

“When I signed up with Viva last year, Boss Vic told me he wants to support the new sexy stars that they are giving acting breaks. It is just fine with me. I was a newcomer before and this is my way of giving back to the industry that has been good to me,” said the former child actor who also made waves as an action star. “I want to return the trust given to me by Boss Vic. He is like a father to me.”

But he didn’t expect that he will be asked to do sexy scenes in the GB Sampedro film. Being a family man, Joko told his wife and kids about the offer as a sign of respect. He wouldn’t want to do provocative scenes in the movie without telling his wife.

Joko is the leading man of Ayanna Misola who plays the female lead in “Kinsenas, Katapusan”, a sexy-psycho-thriller.

He also trusts his director that’s why he agreed to do the numerous provocative scenes. Being part of the sexy trend which is the forte of Vivamax surprised Joko. But he liked the challenge. “I want to explore character roles,” the actor added.

Also in the cast of “Kinsenas, Katapusan” are Kier Legaspi, Janelle Tee, Angela Morena and Mahjong Night’s Jamilla Obispo. It will be streamed on Vivamax starting February 4.

Newcomer John Gabriel is happy to be a part of “My First Lady”, the Book 2 of the successful GMA Network primetime series “My First Yaya”, which starred Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez.

This is his first ever TV show and he is very excited. He is portraying the role of a PSG to Gabby who plays the President – which explains his new haircut.

“Kinabahan po ako when I met with the show’s executive producer,” said John via a phone interview. “I am nervous but excited because I am working with a veteran actor like Tito Gabby who is a superstar. Dati pinapanood ko lang siya. Ngayon kasama na ako sa show niya and we will be working together.”

What doubles his excitement is the fact that he is working for the first time with Sanya. John has reported on the set of the lock-in taping and is looking forward to meeting Gabby and Sanya in person for the first time.

New sexy star Ayanna Misola, the lead actress of “Kinsenas, Katapusan”, said it is highly possible that she can fall for an older guy, just like the story in her launching film.

“I find older guys responsible and mature,” said the upcoming Viva nymphet. “Young guys tend to be immature and not responsible enough. But if I happen to meet a young man who is mature and responsible, there is also a possibility for me to fall for him as well.”

Ayanna plays an aggressive woman who falls for Joko Diaz, but added that she’s not like that in real life. Even if she had many sexy scenes in the movie, Ayanna said she put her trust in her director that those scenes came out well.

Senatorial candidate Herbert “Bistek” Bautista has finally launched his own YouTube channel. This is a good move for the former Quezon City mayor who is seeking a seat in the Senate since he can be reached by more voters now that the campaign period is just a few days away.

While it may not be possible to get around the Philippines if ever they will be surge in Covid-19 cases, voters can visit his YouTube channel to get updates on his activities and know about the laws that he might sponsor if ever he makes it to the Senate.

Compared to some senatorial wannabees, we believe Herbert deserves to be in the Senate considering his impressive record as a public servant.
