Mark Anthony Fernandez experienced separation anxiety after the lock-in shooting of “Deception” because he missed his co-workers.
“Deception”, now streaming on Vivamax, is the suspense-thriller reunion movie of Mark with ex-girlfriend Claudine Barretto. This the first the ex-lovers are doing a movie together after more than a decade. Their last team-up was for an episode in “Claudine”, her drama anthology when was with GMA Network in 2010.
Before the shoot of “Deception”, Mark had a statement that “Love is lovelier the second time around” so people thought there is a possibility of a reconciliation between them.
Although there was no reconciliation, Mark noted the big change in Claudine’s habit in the few days they were together during the lock-in shooting.
“What I liked about Claudine now is that she became an independent woman. She became level-headed,” said Mark. Although they didn’t have much free time on set, he and Claudine had time to talk in between takes.
Mark is thankful to director Joel Lamangan in guiding him in most of his scenes in “Deception”, which he considers as his most challenging role he’s done for the past year. “My role requires a lot of emotions and nuances. The role is hard but I am happy that I did it. I liked the script written by Direk Joel and the movie’s ending.”
Mark added he was kind of pressured working under Direk Joel. “He likes you to attack a scene in a particular way. But you can never go wrong working with him. All you have to do is listen,” he said.
There was one part in the movie where Direk Joel told Mark he needed to cry and he was able to do it in one take. “I really wanted to make good and I was inspired by the script that’s why the scene came out well.”

We are happy with the win of Sharon Cuneta as Best Actress at the 6th GEMS Hiyas ng Sining Awards. Our beloved Megastar won for her performance in the Daryll Yap movie “Revirginized.”
The Megastar herself admitted she was kind of cautious when she accepted the film since the movie is very much different from what she used to do.
It was some kind of experiment for her. But Sharon said she wanted to do something out-of-the-box, something that might be a bit shocking for her fans but will challenge her as an actress.
We were pleasantly surprised that Sharon won at the GEMS Awards. She won over Charo Santos-Concio (“Kun Maupay Man It Panahon”), Alessandra de Rossi (“My Amanda”), Janine Gutierrez (“Dito at Doon”), and Kylie Versoza (“The Housemaid”).
Now that she won an acting award for a Daryll Yap film, with Sharon be open to doing another movie with the controversial Vivamax director?
The Megastar is still busy taping for “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” Her fans are anxiously waiting for Sharon to trade dialogues with Coco, but she has yet to have scenes taken with the actor.
The Sharonians also wish that Sharon and Coco can do a movie together, something that the Megastar is likewise looking forward to happen.
