CEBU, Philippines — Kim Covert will represent the Philippines at the Miss Multiverse pageant to be held in the Dominican Republic this November, the same month she is set to turn over her Binibining Cebu Tourism 2018 crown.

The 24-year-old broke the news online, saying how her participation in the pageant is the realization of her dreams.

“It has always been a dream of mine to wear a sash representing our beautiful country. I’ve been competing in pageants since I was 15 with the help and support of so many amazing and talented artists all around Negros Oriental, Manila, and Cebu,” said Kim.

“Now I have a more exciting challenge coming my way. Things really do happen for a reason. Let’s do this!”

Apart from being a model and a host, the Filipina-American has worked as a stylist, actress, photographer, and writer. She studied Music Education at Silliman University and has since been passionate about making the world a better place through music.

Kim, who won Miss Earth Philippines-Water 2014, will be among the 40 models and beauty queens to take part in this year’s Miss Multiverse, a pageant that is open to women between 18 to 35 years old, may be single, married, divorced, and/or with children.

In search of a true beauty both inside and out, Miss Multiverse’s main objective is to offer a life-changing experience and advocate for women empowerment.

The “epic multi-destination travel adventure” is a reality TV program broadcast throughout Latin America and the United States, with elements of fashion and modelling laced towards the road of self-discovery and growth.

Ten ladies are slated to become official Multiverse Models but only one will take home the Miss Multiverse crown.
