According to a recent survey by Kantar Media in the first quarter of 2018, MOR 101.9 Manila got the highest average audience share of 33 percent among all FM stations in Mega Manila. This is 12 percentage points higher than its closest competitor’s 21 percent.

Director Richard Somes is very pleased to have worked with Ella Cruz and Donnalyn Bartolome, the lead stars of his latest movie titled “Cry No Fear” under Viva Films. He says Ella and Donnalyn are perfect for their roles as half-sisters who hate each other. But faced with real danger, they must unite to escape.
Direk Richard said there were other stars that he auditioned for the pivotal roles played by Ella and Donnalyn but when he first saw them, he felt that he found the right stars.
“We did a lot of workshops to prepare them for the role. What is good about them is that they are friends in real life that’s why the chemistry is palpable,” he said. “They were also very game in doing even the hardest action scenes and since most of the scenes were shot while raining, it became more difficult for them.”
There was one scene where Direk Richard asked Donnalyn to jump into a pool from a height of 25 feet. She nearly drowned after doing the jump and it was good thing Ella was around to save her.
On the part of Ella, she did one scene which caused her to hyperventilate. It was a good thing Direk Richard had a portable oxygen tank on hand which she was able to use. She was also able to rest before resuming the shoot.
Ella and Donnalyn said “Cry No Fear” is the most difficult role they have done thus far. But they considered it a big challenge since they want to prove they are actresses and can portray any kind of role. No matter how difficult these scenes were, they faced it head on even it meant aching bodies and suffering cuts and bruises in the process.
“Cry No Fear” opens in cinemas nationwide on June 20.
