Bea admits dating Gerald again

CEBU, Philippines - Bea Alonzo admitted that she and ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson have been going out a lot these days.

 Both have been spotted together numerous times – dinners, working out, in fun runs, purchasing a car and even a brief vacation in Cebu –even after the promotion and theater run of their romantic film “How to Be Yours” which was released in cinemas last August.

 “Oo, we go out. We go out a lot, with friends,” the actress confirmed to reporters at the sidelines of the Fujifilm A-X3 camera launch held Saturday, as reported by Pep.ph.

 “Hindi naman kami nagtatago. We go out. Wala namang masama. Parang wala naman kaming nasasaktan.”

 Nevertheless, Bea refused to reveal details on the official status of their relationship – whether they are exclusive sweethearts or are still on the casual dating stage.

 “Parang ang pangit mag-share ng mga personal, and babae ako,” explained Bea, as she also assured interviewers that she will not hesitate to disclose if and when there will be a serious development in their relationship.

“Ise-share namin,” Bea said. “It’s not something that we will keep a secret.”

 When asked during a press conference in Cebu last July if there was a strong chance of them rekindling their short-lived (and prohibited back then) romance, both expressed the same stand of taking their time and seeing where their renewed friendship goes.

 Gerald had said, “We’re just enjoying what we have right now. After six years, it’s only now that we get to deeply talk at length. We’re not going to rush into things just because that’s what other people want. I am personally enjoying her company so much and I don’t want to complicate things with forward thinking. I’m really happy with what we have right now.”

 “We are really not in a rush. It’s only now that we get to move freely and we don’t have to hide, so why should we hide it if we’re already a couple now?,” added Bea.“Even the young stars admit if they’re in a relationship, so there’s no reason for us to hide. Right now, we’re just enjoying every moment we’re together. I enjoy his company, and he seems to be enjoying my company too.”

Bea is set to return to primetime TV soon in the soap opera “A Second Wife” with Ian Veneracion, Iza Calzado, Enchong Dee and Julia Barretto; while Gerald will soon star as a triathlete in the Dan Villegas-directed TV drama “Because You Love Me” with Yen Santos and Jake Cuenca. –VAB (FREEMAN)
