Screening for Mr. & Ms. South Town Centre 2016

CEBU, Philippines - South Town Centre, the new shopping destination of Southern Cebu, is looking for the best muse and prince charming to be its mall ambassadors. The screening of contestants for the maiden edition of the Mr. and Miss South Town Centre pageant is slated on Sunday, September 25 at the mall’s activity area.

 Before the screening date, applicants are advised to submit their completed application forms in advance until September 24. Application forms are downloadable from the South Town Centre Facebook fan page.

 Mall manager Grace Labunog said that the pageant is open to all currently enrolled junior high school, senior high school, or college students, 13 to 20 years old. She added that priority will be given to those who won as their school’s Mr. and Miss Intramurals.

 Applicants are also required to submit a recommendation letter from the school’s Student Affairs Office, Cultural Office, Athletics Office, Guidance Office or Principal’s Office, stating that he or she is the school’s official representative to the pageant. Along with the letter, they are also required to submit two 7R photos (one close-up and one whole body).

 The Mr. and Miss South Town Centre is an advocacy pageant, which aims to tap students who perform well both in academic and extra-curricular activities of their respective schools as messengers of goodwill. As ambassadors, they will be tasked to lead the mall’s campaign for ecological protection and active community participation.

 Twenty pairs will be chosen to compete in the mall’s month-long “Save Mother Earth” challenge, talent showdown and semifinal round. From the 20 pairs, only eight pairs will advance to the grand finals on November 26.
