‘Wanted: President’ faces Mar Roxas

CEBU, Philippines - GMA News and Public Affairs’ election special “Wanted: President” continues to take a closer look at the candidates for presidency this Sunday as former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas accepts the challenge to face the country’s toughest job interview on January 31.

On Sunday, Roxas will face Mel Tiangco as the veteran broadcast journalist looks into the real story behind Roxas’ so-called publicity stunts such as directing traffic, driving a tricycle, and carrying sacks of rice. Tiangco also questions Roxas about the government’s slow response to aid the victims of super typhoon Yolanda and about the anomalies involving the MRT.

The Liberal Party standard-bearer will share his “master plan” in solving the country’s traffic crisis and will give his thoughts on controversial issues such as the Freedom of Information bill, the legalization of divorce, the restoration of death penalty, and the legality of same-sex marriage. Tiangco, on the other hand, will try to finally confirm whether or not Roxas is indeed short-tempered as his critics claim.

“Wanted: President” aims to go beyond the basic information about the presidential aspirants, providing voters the chance to better examine the presidentiables as they share their platforms and answer the controversies they are allegedly involved in.

Catch “Wanted: President” this Sunday, 9:30 p.m. on GMA-7.  (FREEMAN)
