Cimphony of Love benefit concert

Lilith Karmel Y. Villarante - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines – December 6th of last year, Cimphony, the official chorale group of the Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM) had its first concert, “Music Heals,” for the benefit of the Typhoon Yolanda victims. This year, Cimphony will have another concert, Cimphony of Love, on Saturday at 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Epifania Mendoza Velez Hall of  Velez College for the benefit of the Children of the Coast Foundation.

The CIM’s mark of excellence is exemplified by its vision, Physicians with a Heart. As Physicians with a Heart, CIM students aim not only to serve and respond to the needs of the sick with the best practice of medicine, but also to touch the lives and reach out to many others in need using their God-given talents and faculties. Cimphony creates an avenue for CIM students to share their musical talents, at the same time render service to the public, especially the less fortunate through activities, such as this annual benefit concert.

This year, Cimphony sings for the Children of the Coast Foundation. This is a non-profit organization based in Cebu dedicated to improve and sustain the health conditions of underprivileged Filipino children through health education. Tickets for Cimphony of Love will be sold at P100, and proceeds will go to the foundation. Cimphony supports this organization and its cause to help improve the lives of the less fortunate children of our country.

Everyone is invited to a night of joy, dreams, hope, and love this Christmas season. Not only will the audience experience another night to remember, but your support will be able to go a long way to put more smiles on the faces of the youth.
