Sylvia Sanchez and Aiza Seguerra watched “The Trial” together in a cinema in Greenhills, San Juan City last Saturday. Aiza wouldn’t want to watch the much-talked about drama of Chito Roño under Star Cinema unless her Nanay Sylvia will come with her.
Aiza had heard a lot of good words and read the comments on Facebook about the performance of her Nanay Sylvia. It wasn’t only netizens who had favorable words to say about Sylvia’s performance, but fellow celebrities as well like Toni Gonzaga. No wonder, Aiza was very curious to watch but could not find the time due to her busy schedule, until her movie date with her Nanay Sylvia last Saturday.
We wonder what Aiza has to say about Sylvia’s portrayal? While Sylvia is elated with the praises for her role as the lesbian mother of John Lloyd Cruz, she is giving Aiza credit for it. When she found out that she will be playing a lesbian, she talked to Aiza to be her peg. For two months, she studied Aiza’s mannerisms. Sylvia also asked her how a lesbian moves her head to look at somebody or how she stares at a person.
“The Trial” is still showing in some theaters nationwide.

Assunta de Rossi, Angelica Panganiban and Angeline Quinto takes the spotlight as their comedy film “Beauty in a Bottle” from Quantum Films and released thru Star Cinema opens in cinemas today nationwide.
This movie is actually a project of award-winning writer director Chris Martinez (writer of “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank”) which was originally meant as a filmfest entry about two years ago. But Direk Chris, who was a judge in Cinema One Originals a few years ago, saw the potential of Antoinette Jadaone who directed “Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay,” a critically-acclaimed debut flick. He thought of asking Antoinette to write the script of “Beauty in a Bottle” and direct it as well.
The award-winning director had watched the movie and Direk Chris is endorsing everyone to watch “Beauty in a Bottle” which he says is very entertaining and worth the price of a movie ticket. The movie also stars Carmi Martin, Tom Rodriquez, and Ellen Adarna.

Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI) marks its 180th anniversary as it launches sexy actress Ellen Adarna as its official calendar girl for 2015.
Ellen was last seen in ABS-CBN’s afternoon series “Moon Of Desire” and she is currently gearing up for a brand new series, also on ABS-CBN, titled “Pasion de Amor.”
Being chosen as Ginebra calendar girl for 2015 is another milestone for the Cebuana, whose career grew by leaps and bounds since she became a Kapamilya.
The theme of its 2015 calendar is Ganado Sa Buhay as it aims to pay tribute and give homage to hard working Filipino men who are the main consumers of Ginebra San Miguel. They work hard so they could provide a good future for their family and to keep them ready to face the challenges of tomorrow, they drink Ginebra San Miguel.
With photography by BJ Pascual, make-up by Albert Kurinawan, and styling by Liz Uy, Ellen was shot against the backdrops of a rice field, a construction site, and the sea-side to honor and represent farmers, construction workers, and fishermen. GSMI will honor working class Filipino men as represented by farmer Dick Alipio Evasco from Atok, Benguet; construction worker Alfredo “Ada” Abastas from Metro Manila; and fisherman Mosies Mesa from Binangonan, Rizal. These men were each given plaques of recognition, and special Ginebra San Miguel Ganado Packages on the day of Ellen’s grand press launch.
