Aiko plays abused spinster in ‘Ipaglaban Mo’

CEBU, Philippines - ABS-CBN’s hit legal drama anthology “Ipaglaban Mo” tackles the rape case of a spinster named Candida (Aiko Melendez), who was sexually abused by her younger suitor Popoy (Arron Villaflor) tonight. Did the court take Candida’s side when most of the people believed that they were lovers? Why did Popoy commit the crime?

Also joining the cast in this week’s episode titled “Sa Aking Pagbangon,” directed by Jon Villarin, are Lui Manansala and Deniesse Aguilar.
