CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Music Learning Center (CMLC) recently launched its new program for kids aged one to four years old called Learning Adventures.
The program aims to boost a child's learning capacity while having fun at the same time through visual arts, intellectual games, physical activities, and music.
The new program will replace their already existing Music Adventures program which was tailored for the same age group. What makes the old program different from the new is that physical activities such as dancing and games will already be included.
April Joy Pastor, developer of Learning Adventures, said physical activities were included because learning occurs naturally when children are actively involved and having fun.
"Playing is essential to the development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of the child," Pastor explained.
There are three levels for Learning Adventures: The Little Wonderer which is for kids one a half to two and a half, The Little Explorer for kids aged two and a half to three and a half and The Big Thinker for older kids aged three and a half to four.
Pastor, however, said that music will still be a heavy factor in this program like the previous where children will be taught the basics of a few instruments such as violin, guitar, piano and percussion.
The previous program has already produced well-rounded children who are excelling in the academic and extra-curricular tracks. Pastor assures that the new program will not only deliver the same development to the child but will even enhance their abilities.
Learning Adventures will start its classes on Monday, August 4. CMLC is still accepting enrollees.
