Marian joins EB’s ‘Juan For All’ segment

- Ricky L. Calderon - The Freeman

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera continues to be one of the most-sought after endorsers at present. On Monday, May 26, she was launched as the official endorser of Hana Shampoo, a new product line that is being introduced here in the country.

Marian is profuse with thanks that she was chosen as the celebrity endorser of the new shampoo brand. She said it is a big honor for her to be the brand ambassador since the product is just being introduced in the Philippines and comes along with it the thought that if the product becomes big eventually, she was able to lend a hand in doing so.

Before she accepted the offer to endorse the shampoo brand, she tried it out first. One thing she liked about it, says Marian, is that the shampoo is herbal and has natural ingredients. She liked the green variant of the shampoo and to show that she really loved the product, she gave away samples to her “Carmela” co-stars.

Aside from being the endorser of Hana, what makes Marian even happier these days was her being a part of Eat Bulaga’s “Juan For All, All For Juan” segment. She had discussed this with her manager, Mr. Antonio P. Tuviera (who owns TAPE, Inc. that produces “Eat Bulaga”) and expressed interest to be part of the long-running noontime show. When she was asked if she preferred to be in the studio where it is cooler and more comfortable, or in the barangay where she will be exposed to the heat, Marian chose the latter.

“I really chose to be in the Juan For All segment because I want to interact with the people,” she told the media at the launch of Hana shampoo. “Ang saya-saya ko interacting with them kasi kakaibang saya rin ang nadarama ko being with them. It’s hard to describe the feeling but I am really enjoying myself in the Juan For All, All For Juan segment.”

If only she could be with Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros and Wally Bayola every day when they visit the barangays, Marian said she’d really love to do so. “If my schedule would permit, I’d really love to go with them. Pero siyempre may iba rin naman akong schedule pero kung talagang pwede, sasama ako talaga sa kanila,” she added.

Marian’s being a part of the widely-followed segment in the number one noontime show has elicited favorable response from the viewers of “Eat Bulaga.” They expressed elation that Marian is a real trouper, like one of the boys. In fact, there was one episode where Marian embraced a person with chicken pox without hesitation, which made the “Eat Bulaga” viewers admire her more.

The good fortune continues for Marian. Come June, she will be launched as the new endorser of the clothing brand Bench. Just recently, she was launched as brand ambassador of the Belo Medical Group.

Meanwhile, her fans are continuing their call to all Marian supporters to vote for the Kapuso Primetime Queen in the FHM poll so that the actress will once again reign supreme as the sexiest Pinay in the FHM list.

Since the GMA soap opera “Kambal Sirena” was extended, Polo Ravales encountered a problem with his schedule. That’s the reason why he had to give up the lead role in the indie film titled “Kasal” under the direction of Jay Altarejos. “Kasal” is an entry in the Director’s Showcase category of Cinemalaya to be held in August.

Replacing Polo in the project is theater actor Mike Liwag. Also in the cast of this gay love story is Mhyco Aquino who is the playing the role of filmmaker. This is first adult role of Mhyco who used to be a part of a teen group in ABS-CBN.

Filming for “Kasal,” which is the comeback project of Direk Jay in Cinemalaya, resumes this week. Direk Jay is happy that his project was chosen to be an entry in Cinemalaya which is marking its tenth year.

Bela Padilla, Pancho Magno and Maricel Soriano are the featured guest stars in tonight’s “Bubble Gang” episode.

Getting the honor to interact with the Diamond Star is newbie comedian Betong who probably had jitters in his stomach when he faced the actress in the segment titled Antonietta.

In the segment which spoofs telenovelas, Betong plays Antonietta, the kontrabida in the telenovela who does nothing but contradicts the concept of the story. What will happen when Antonietta gets her comeuppance with the Diamond Star?

Other “Bubble Gang” segments to watch out for include pamanhikan gags, the Beksingera, Lala Ytera, Lagi Na Lang, a spoof of the Juday-Lucio Lactum commercials, Tata Lino, silent vote and Starpok, an action talk show.
