Winners at the PEP List awards

The PEP List red car pet glittered with Kapuso, Kapamilya and Kapatid stars as PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) saluted the Standouts of the PEP List 2013.

Co-presented by SM Parisian, the star-studded event was held at the Solaire Resorts Hotel and Casino, the official venue partner of PEP.

Hosted by Ai-Ai de las Alas and Lucy Torres-Gomez, it was attended by over 100 personalities from the three networks.

The program opened on a high note with performances of Kapamilya stars Robi Domigo, Sam Concepcion and Bangs Garcia, Kapatid talents Vin Abrenica and Eula Caballero, and Kapuso artists Sef Cadayona and Wynwyn Marquez.

Other guest performers were Tippy Dos Santos, Gian Magdangal, Trenderas stars, Morisette Amon, Thor, Jonalyn Viray, The Company and Kyla.

For the PEP Editors’ Choice, a year-long deliberation process, Marian Rivera won as TV Star of the Year and Judy Ann Santos was unanimously voted as PEP Reporters’ Choice.

Tom Rodriguez was named Breakout Star of the Year and Daniel Padilla, the OPM Artist of the Year. Ryzza Mae Dizon bagged the Child Star of the Year award.

All three won the votes of the Readers in the PEPsters’ Choice Poll.

According to PEP Editor in Chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, “Celebrities are largely known to be famous. Nobody seems to acknowledge the discipline, the rigor, the consistency that goes in their work. That’s one reason. And to make that acknowledgement mean something, to give the entertainment industry the respect it deserves, PEP has gone out of its way to make the PEP List impeccable. The List is independently audited. The other reason is that PEP has been chronicling the world of celebrities for seven years, and I believe it has now earned the right to make a list of its own—a list its editors and staff can stand behind.”
