Search for 2014’s Sinulog Festival TV Star: RisingStars Philippines, GMA-7 team up for singing tilt

CEBU, Philippines - Singing karaoke is more fun in the Philippines, especially if you’ll get the chance to be hailed as 2014’s Sinulog Festival TV Star!

RisingStars Philippines, with strategic partner GMA-7, present “RisingStars on TV: Sinulog Festival — Become A TV Star Cebu Round” singing talent search and discovery competition.

From Jan. 3 to 12, you may find the RisingStars singing station located at the Food Court area of Elizabeth Mall in Cebu. Pick a song, record, and sing your way to become Cebu’s Sinulog Festival TV Star and a chance to represent Cebu in the upcoming Visayas Region finals.

Karaoke enthusiasts and aspiring singing stars still have a chance to qualify for Round 3 preliminaries by recording online or by doing an actual recording at our singing station. 15 semi-finalists will be selected though votes cast by online users as well as selections by a panel of jurors. These finalists will battle it out for the Top 10 final spots on the Grand Live Regional Finals on Jan. 18 at the GMA Sinulog Festival Event grand stage, to be recorded by GMA. 

Semi-finalists will win mall gift certificates (or cash equivalent) plus featured exposures on RisingStars’ Facebook fanpage, RisingStars’ and GMA’s YouTube channel, and the chance to look and shine like a star by getting stylist and make-up assistance.

Top 10 grand finalists will win gift certificates, be featured on RisingStars’ Facebook and Youtube pages, and sing in front of a live audience at the GMA Sinulog Festival program, plus a TV feature on GMA’s Let’s Fiesta show for the three best live performers. From the top 10, top three grand regional winners will be chosen, and will win gift certificates amounting to as high as ten thousand pesos (P 10,000).
