Kara David’s‘Among the Clouds’ docu in I-Witness

CEBU, Philippines - Exhilaration. A feeling of excitement. Of happiness. Some like to go underwater to experience exhilaration. Some run away from bulls. Some sleep by the beach, some dive the skies. And there are those who climb mountains.

Kara David has been climbing mountains for two decades now. For 2013, she promised herself to climb summits from different parts of the world. She trekked one of the most climbed summits in the world, Japan’s highest mountain, Mt. Fuji. Halfway around the globe, she went to mountainous Greece— and conquered the legendary home to Greek gods, Mt. Olympus.

To cap her year, Kara climbs towards a peak that has challenged her time and again— the Philippines’ very own Mt. Apo. Different summits, different terrains but every bit an adventure.
