Yeng Constantino is excited about her concert slated tomorrow night, Nov. 30, at the Samsung Hall of the SM Aura, Taguig City. Titled “Plugged-In: Yeng Constantino Birthday Concert,†the Pop Rock Princess will be joined by Rico Blanco and her Sesa Band.
What adds to Yeng’s excitement is that she is sharing her birthday with her fans. In the past, Yeng often celebrates her birthday alone by going on a trip abroad. She is some kind of a loner but this time her concert will serve as one big party.
“I want to make this year different by having a concert and share it with my fans who have been with me since day one,†said Yeng.
To make the concert truly memorable, her management firm Cornerstone gave her a free hand in mounting the concert as she sees fit. She is grateful to the Academy of Rock (Singapore), one of the show sponsors, for supporting her vision for the concert.
Even if Yeng is known as a Pop Rock Princess, she wants the audience to know that she has a wide musicality. Not many people know that before she became the Pop Rock Princess title, she was doing all kinds of music — from Britney Spears hits to underground music, before going mainstream. Yeng can’t wait to display her versatility as a performer.
Yeng personally prepared the set list which contained all songs about her life as an artist and as a person — songs about her struggles, dreams and triumphs. The concert is going to be an experience.

In this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival season, a sure candidate as festival blockbuster is “My Little Bossings.†The family drama-comedy features perennial MMFF box office champion Vic Sotto (think of the “Enteng Kabisote†franchise) and two lovable kids namely Ryzza Mae Dizon of “Eat Bulaga†fame and James “Bimby†Yap, plus Kris Aquino.
At the movie’s recent presscon, Kris said it was because of Bossing Vic that made her allow Bimby to make his screen debut. Kris added that Vic had wanted to guest Bimby in his GMA series “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko†but Kris told Vic that for more impact, it would be nice if he and Bimby would do a movie instead. Vic then told Kris that he will think of a project for him and Bimby.
To make the project more exciting, Ryzza Mae was added for good measure. Thus, a different kind of bonding developed between Ryzza and Bimby who hit it off well during the shoot, striking a remarkable chemistry. There was magic between the very down-to-earth Ryzza and “socially-elite†Bimby.
The movie is directed by Marlon Rivera who helmed the award-winning film “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank.â€
Bossing Vic is very happy with the way the movie is turning out. “Nakakatuwa talaga ang dalawang bata. They complement each other. You can see that when you watch the movie. Nagtuturuan, nagtatawanan, sabay napapagod, sabay nagugutom. Masaya lang kami sa set. Para lang kaming naglalaro,†said Vic who is one of the producers of the film, same with Kris who made sure that she is a part of Bimby’s first movie.
