CEBU, Philippines - What does Jeremy Renner look for in a girlfriend?

“My girl is masculine in a lot of ways, even though she looks like a supermodel,” the 42-year-old actor reveals in the latest issue of Elle. “A girly girl just doesn’t do it for me. I can’t have a conversation about your broken nail.”

When it comes to relationships, the “American Hustle” star says he learned “what not to do” from his parents. “Both of my parents have been married three times,” he explained.

Renner, who welcomed baby daughter Ava Berlin with girlfriend Sonni Pacheco back in March, also opened up about what he hopes to teach his first child (no, it’s not masculinity). “Compassion,” he told the mag. “Something a lot of people don’t teach.”

As for if he and Pacheco are ready to walk down the aisle, Renner dished, “I’ve never felt that pressure. No. It’s not necessarily something I often think about. It’s a whole other conversation. Don’t forget how the institution of marriage came about.” (FREEMAN)
