The fans of Marian Rivera don’t like the issue being raised by the drumbeaters of Rhian Ramos, the partner of Dingdong Dantes (Marian’s boyfriend) in the new GMA series “Genesis†that Marian is jealous of Rhian.
The fans of Marian claim that the Kapuso Primetime Queen’s name is being used by Rhian’s camp even if she is not part of “Genesis.â€
Marian supports Dong in “Genesis†but it is not good publicity for the handlers of Rhian to make Marian appear jealous of Rhian since it is far from the truth. Marian is very secure of her relationship with Dingdong and intrigues like this sticks out like a sore thumb.
If we were the drumbeaters of Rhian, we would stop this line of publicity pronto! It doesn’t help Rhian. In fact, it has a negative tone to it.
Anyway, Marian is waiting for her new assignment, a soap opera, under GMA 7. She had talked with Suzette Doctolero about the script. It was Suzette who wrote “Amaya,†the groundbreaking teleserye of Marian which became a top-rater.

Martin Nievera recently met with members of the press to announce the repeat of his 30th anniversary concert.
Held last Sept. 13 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, “3D†returns on Nov. 27 at the same venue, with even bigger surprises. Think of big names in showbiz as guest artists. But Martin is not revealing the names of his guests. “I don’t name them because I want the people to come because of me, not because of my guests. If they really love me and want to see me perform they would come even if I won’t reveal who are my guests,†said the Concert King.
The same brilliant production team is backing up Martin: ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, musical director Louie Ocampo and stage director Rowell Santiago. The repeat is produced by Nolstead, Inc. Tickets are available at Ticketnet.

They have done this before and they did it again this year. The PLDT-Smart Foundation’s Gabay Guro threw the biggest tribute ever for our beloved teachers as it celebrates its 6th anniversary this year via a grand gathering last Oct. 26 at the SM MOA Arena.
This year’s celebration also marked the launch of the first ever Gabay Guro tribute song, recorded no less than Asia’s Songbird, Ms. Regine Velasquez, for free. She says that this is her gift to the teachers and to honor them with the great work that they do for our youth. The song titled “Believing in Me,†was written by the husband and wife tandem of Raul Mitra and his wife Cacai.
Hosted by Derek Ramsay, an exclusive talent of TV5, the annual grand gathering also saw the rare opportunity where stars from the three leading networks in the country gathered together to uphold a good cause – education – by honoring the teachers, our unsung heroes.
Among those who participated in the event were Anne Curtis, Judy Ann Santos, Marian Rivera, Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez, Jolo Revilla, Ogie Alcasid, Rocco Nacino, Daniel Matsunaga, Vin Abrenica, Victor Silayan and John James Uy. The Gabay Guro team led by PLDT Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan and 2G Chairman Chaye Cabal-Revilla, were present during the event and have again offered their invaluable support to the teachers.
Also lending support to the event by hosting a segment was TV5 host Edu Manzano. In a brief interview in their dressing room, Edu said the networks should sponsor events that bring forth camaraderie and cooperation.
“We should do events like this that bring together artists from different networks more often because I believe it is in events like this that we can be a part of nation building,†he said. “Artists are easy to approach. All you need is tap them on the shoulder. It’s also not about money but we also have to give back.â€
Edu added that it is about time that we do something for our teachers because they are the ones who take care of us. Next to our parents, it’s our teachers who have a great influence in our lives. He added that it is not enough that we give the teachers tribute but Edu said there should also be a way to give better wages.
“The teachers are the first to arrive and leave school and they work on weekends to check our homeworks. You know, sometimes to this day, I can’t explain the psyche of teachers. Why do they give so much of their lives for people who sometimes don’t know how to appreciate it?†said Edu.
“Tributes like this are important because it takes a little off the hardships or compensates for the little pay but really, I believe we should think of something that would put our teachers in a more lofty status.â€
