TV5 pilots 8 shows under ‘Weekend Do It Better’ block

CEBU, Philippines - This coming week-end, TV5 will give its viewers a treat with eight exciting, star-studded programs that will surely make you just want to stay home and be glued to your TV screens.

Starting on Saturday at 6 p.m., Showbiz Police begins arresting the latest showbiz controversies with a full feature on Claudine Barretto and the case she filed against husband Raymart Santiago. Resident showbiz critic and analyst, director Joey Reyes, gives his thoughts on private videos and sex scandals. Lucy Torres-Gomez will have a one-on-one interview with funny man, Edu Manzano. Cristy Fermin investigates the real score between Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes – is it for real or just a gimmick? And for the first time ever, Raymond Gutierrez interviews his siblings Richard and Ruffa Gutierrez.

At 7 p.m., laugh with the tried-and-tested gagsters Ogie Alcasid, Gelli de Belen and Wendell Ramos as they return to the original home of gag shows in Tropa Mo Ko UNLI. Ogie will do a spoof of Eat Bulaga child wonder Ryzza Mae Dizon along with Gelli de Belen. And with Ogie and Gelli on the show, will Battle of the Brainless be far behind? At 8 p.m., see karaoke in a new light as singing becomes deadly with snakes, pools, and other crazy challenges in Killer Karaoke and at 9 p.m, Edu Manzano shows how his life changed with the Kasambahay Law in his not-so-late night comedy talk show, What’s Up Doods?

On Sunday, starting at 6 p.m., Aga Muhlach takes over New York and unexpectedly meets Lea Salonga at Times Square. He also meets up with fellow Kapatid stars Sharon Cuneta and Derek Ramsay as he discovers the sights and scenes in the Big Apple on the pilot episode of Pinoy Explorer.

At 7 p.m, find out if the new lifelines would help pharmaceutical employee Arthur Ross Guilas to become the newest Pinoy millionaire in the Bossing of all Game Shows, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

At 8 p.m., Joey de Leon will do the pranks himself as he returns with the longest-running prank show on Philippine television, Wow Mali Pa Rin and at 9 p.m., Ogie Alcasid writes a song based on the life of a letter sender while Megastar Sharon Cuneta sings classic love songs by request in the first episode of The Mega and The Songwriter.
