Treewoods Residences: A hub of luxury, leisure, and recreation
Nestled close to the Cebu IT Park, Treewoods Residences and Gus Centre Courts offer an exciting blend of luxury and convenience, making it a perfect choice for travelers, business professionals, sports and wellness enthusiasts alike.

CEBU, Philippines — After establishing a well-reputed accommodation, Treewoods Residences by Alicia Apartelle emerges as a destination where one can enjoy various activities all in one place.

Nestled close to the Cebu IT Park in barangay Apas here in the Queen City of the South, this place offers an exciting blend of luxury and convenience, making it a perfect choice for travelers, business professionals, sports and wellness enthusiasts alike.

“This is an idea of Atty. Go (Augusto). He was talking to someone and said, ‘What am I going to do with the big property here?’ This is 1.5 hectares. He said, ‘Build this one, and my wife will handle it,” shares Atty. Go’s wife, Elizabeth Gan-Go, to The Freeman.

The serviced apartment hotel itself is one of a kind, with Elizabeth proudly sharing how she envisioned it to be—spacious, clean, secure, and enhanced with a priceless city view.

Even with its elegance, Treewoods Residences offers tailored solutions with modern accommodations, ranging from dormitories to serviced apartments and hotel rooms, all equipped with premium amenities in a secure and peaceful environment—a perfect blend of comfort and convenience.

The property also boasts a private indoor swimming pool, self-service laundry facilities, function halls, a common lounge area, a fitness center, parking spaces, and a mini park where one can commune with nature amidst the concrete jungle.

Additionally, the rooms—from dormitories to suites—are reasonably priced.

“And after that, when it was built, he saw the empty portion, and he (Atty. Gus Go) said, ‘Make me a sports center,” added Elizabeth, mentioning that she wants it called the Gus Centre Courts.

In a tennis complex, the center court is the main court, but here, there’s more to it than that.

“I asked, why all of a sudden, a sports center?... Because he realized that basketball is very popular and there’s just not enough space for everybody,” Elizabeth added.

Aside from basketball, Architect Omar Maxwell Espina disclosed that the sports complex they are currently building will feature three FIBA-standard basketball courts, which can also be used for volleyball.

On the second floor, there will be a tennis court and 10 badminton courts, two of which can also be used for pickleball and futsal (indoor soccer).

The tennis court will feature an artificial turf, the first of its kind to be installed in Cebu.

Espina said bleachers will be installed on the side, but clarified, “It’s not exactly for big events; our market is for people who want to play and for companies who want to hold tournaments.”

Shower rooms, locker rooms, and a lounge will also be included in the complex.

The project is designed with physics principles in mind to ensure the building, particularly the playing courts, remains cool.

Moreover, several environmentally friendly solutions will be implemented, Espina said.

For business and recreational purposes, there will also be a conference center with two halls that can be combined into one, while the ground floor will serve as a parking space for over a hundred vehicles.

A space for sports-related merchandise, restaurants, a spa, a golf simulator, sports climbing facilities, and a dance studio is also reserved for interested concessionaires.

Outside the apartment-hotel and sports center, there will be ample space for food trucks or containers, perfect for those who want to relax and dine after playing or while waiting for someone at the gym.

The apartment-hotel is now operational, while the recreational center, Espina said, is targeted for completion in the first quarter of 2025.

With this development, Cebuanos and visitors alike have something new to look forward to in the coming year—a unique and dynamic environment where work, leisure, and wellness come together seamlessly. — (FREEMAN)
