‘DigiCities’ launched to empower MSMEs
In a joint move to accelerate the digital transformation of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), TikTok Shop and GCash for Business have introduced the “DigiCities Program.”
This nationwide effort aims to equip Filipino entrepreneurs with essential tools and knowledge in digital payments and social commerce, promoting growth and economic inclusion.
Rolled out in 27 strategic locations, including Cebu, Lapu-Lapu, Bacolod, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro, the program seeks to empower small businesses in navigating the complexities of today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The partnership integrates GCash for Business’ secure financial solutions with TikTok Shop’s dynamic social commerce platform. Together, they tackle challenges faced by MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises), such as customer engagement, payment management, and business scalability.
“TikTok Shop has quickly become a powerful platform for local brands and small businesses to connect with consumers in innovative ways,” said Franco Aligaen, Marketing Lead at TikTok Shop Philippines.

The program offers workshops, live-selling events, and local brand showcases to provide MSMEs with holistic support.
GCash for Business introduces a range of financial solutions, including mobile payments, transaction management, and EasyBiz Bundles featuring SoundPay and Tap to Pay technology, simplifying operations for business owners.
Meanwhile, TikTok Shop allows MSMEs to connect with a vast, dynamic audience, enhancing online sales and market reach.
