Tsuneishi launches 16th vessel this year

Hull Number SC 455, a 63,300-ton bulk type carrier, launched at the slipway of Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc. at West Cebu Estate.

CEBU, Philippines — Shipbuilding firm, Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc. (THICI) has launched its 16th vessel this year, the SC 455.

In a statement, Tsuneishi said that this 63,300-ton bulk carrier, constructed for a prominent Southeast Asian firm, showcases Tsuneishi’s commitment to excellence and innovation in shipbuilding.

With over three decades of operations at the West Cebu Estate, Tsuneishi has achieved significant milestones, including the construction of nearly 400 vessels and the delivery of over 360 ships to international clients.

This track record strengthens its position as the largest shipbuilder in the Philippines and a key player in the global maritime industry.

The company's success is closely tied to the strategic advantages provided by Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates.
