BE Residences launches first multi-tower condo in Panglao

CEBU, Philippines — BE Residences is making its entry into the growing vertical and horizontal village market in Panglao Island, Bohol.

The Cebu-based real estate development firm officially broke ground on the 2.5-hectare Balai Helena project on September 14, 2024, in Barangay Dauis, Panglao Island.

The BE Group of Companies made its entry into Panglao eight years ago with the launch of the over six-hectare Be Grand Resort Bohol.

Today, the Benedicto-led firm is developing a master-planned integrated community in Barangay Dauis, Panglao Island, called Balai Helena. This marks its first venture into a multi-tower residential condominium project, offering house and lot options, along with a shopping and lifestyle destination outside Metro Cebu.

BE Group President and CEO Grand Benedicto stated that the Balai Helena project is just one of several residential and commercial real estate developments the company has planned for Bohol.

Balai Helena s first two towers will offer a total of 348 residential condominium units, with the first tower expected to be completed within the next two years. The company has yet to announce the number of units for the third tower, as well as details on its house and lot options.

Despite being in the early stages, the company has seen encouraging results, with over 50 percent of the residential units in the two towers already sold, according to BE Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) Nova Noval.

The mixed-use development, Benedicto added, aims to attract both local and international brands to its commercial strip, Plaza Helena, which is expected to become the next lifestyle and shopping hub for the entire island.

This is our biggest project in terms of land area for BE Residences,  said Benedicto.

Developed in honor of BE Group s matriarch, Helena Benedicto, Balai Helena is one of several residential projects under the Balai brand series, which showcases a design style inspired by tropical vibes and local culture.

Balai Helena features a basket weave-like fa ade, paying tribute to Filipino craftsmanship and design. The development will also introduce the Sky Yarden, a premium two-bedroom unit with a private “tugkaran” offering scenic views.

Also, Balai Helena is the first residential condominium in Bohol to offer leasable storage spaces.

Balai Helena’s studio condominium units are priced at P3.2 million.

To date, BE Residences has developed two Balai brand residential projects one in Cordova and another in Punta Enga o on Mactan Island.

Before the year ends, BE Group plans to launch its co-living space brand, Be Pads, in the heart of Panglao s tourism hub in the Alona area.
